Volatility

Volatility is a statistical measure of variation in the trading price or price movement.
Current Volatility of a financial instrument refers to a specified shorter time period in the past, a week or a month.
Historical Volatility refers to the volatility of a financial instrument over a specified period in the past.
The Volatility makes the price swings wider and traders to take advantage from fast price movements.
Volatility does not indicate the direction of price changes.
