Custom JPY Index is a synthetic index calculated by using 7 JPY currency pairs:
EUR / JPY
GBP / JPY
USD/ JPY
CAD / JPY
AUD / JPY
NZD / JPY
CHF / JPY

Custom JPY Index reflects absolute value of JPY against 7 major currencies: USD, EUR, GBP, AUD, CHF, CAD and NZD
Custom JPY Index is similar with Custom USD Index, Custom GBP Index, Custom AUD Index, Custom EUR Index, 

Custom JPY Index chart goes up as the absolute value of ￥ Japanese Yen JPY goes up.
When the Custom JPY Index chart goes down, the absolute value of ￥ Japanese Yen JPY goes down.
The USD / JPY moves in different direction than  Custom JPY Index, like mirror.
