Custom CAD Index is a synthetic index calculated by using 7 CAD currency pairs:
USD/CAD
NZD/CAD
AUD/CAD
CAD/CHF
CAD/JPY
GBP/CAD
EUR/CAD

Custom CAD Index reflects absolute value of CAD against 7 major currencies: USD, EUR, JPY, CHF, GBP, AUD and NZD
Custom CAD Index is similar with Custom USD Index, Custom JPY Index, Custom EUR Index, Custom NZD Index, 

Custom CAD Index chart goes up as the absolute value of Canadian dollar goes up.
When the Custom CAD Index chart goes down, the absolute value of Canadian dollar CAD goes down.
The USD / CAD moves in opposite direction than  Custom CAD Index, like in the mirror.
